RAJPUT WEDDING THEME
A traditional Rajput wedding ceremony where the group members participate as the "Baraat" (the bridegroom's family and friends who form the wedding party) and the bride's party. The Baraat party arrives with much fanfare, complete with "mashaals" and a local band! The hosts (bride's party) receives the Baraat party and the wedding ceremony is performed under a decorated "mandap" (pavilion). The "meena bazaar" ( a colourful bazaar for the ladies) also forms an integral part of the setting. An elaborate and festive buffet meal, laid out in the illuminated palace- hotel, is accompanied by Shahnai music and folk dances. The traditional "mehendi" (henna) application for the ladies (an auspicious wedding ceremony), is another event that women love to participate in! This theme is organised at Jaipur and Udaipur.


SAND DUNES EXPERIENCE
History whispers in Jodhpur's forts, havelis and temples. But there are stories lurking in the stretches of Thar Desert. So take a camel cart ride to sand dunes lit gold by 'mashaals' (lighted torches) and bonfires. Then in the shelter of tents and an even higher canopy of stars, sip a welcome drink while 'Langas' and 'Kalbeliyas' serenade you with Rajasthani dance and music. End an idyllic evening with barbeque dinner and fireworks.
