This tour that attempts and usually succeeds in seeing Indian Tiger, the Leopard
, the Indian Rhino, Guar, Wild Elephant, Blue Bull, Black buck, Chinkara gazelle,
Barasingha, Sambhar, Wild dogs, Jackals, Crocodiles , many species of birds
and a lot more because the Jungle is full of surprises. This tour covers a variety
of National Parks and reserves in Bio zones and diversified habitat, each one
different from the others but no less interesting. Various modes of transport
are used to view the animal, ranging from elephants, quite often jeeps, variety
of boats and rickshaws are very interesting. While accommodation varies from
erstwhile hunting lodges and palaces to true Jungle Lodge, that are set in the
forest in natural setting . The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri , Khajuraho, Jaipur
and other historical & Cultural sites are all along the way to our natural
Wonders.
Day
01 : Arrival Delhi
Meeting and assistance upon arrival,
transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel Ashok Country Resort ( or similar
).
Day 02 : Delhi - Umaria
Breakfast at
hotel. Transfer to railway station to connect overnight train "KALINGA
UTKAL EXPRESS" at 13hoo for Umaria. Dinner on board.
Day 03 : Umaria Bandhavgarh National Park
Arrive Umaria
at 06h30 . Assistance upon arrival, transfer to Nature heritage Resort.
Bandhavgarh National Park - A wildlife retreat, where
history and nature meet, Bandhavgarh is not too far away from Kanha. Set
amidst the Vindhyan ranges, the Park has a series of ridges running through
it. Initially just 105.40 sq. km. in area, Bandhavgarh with 25 resident
tigers, was noted for its high density tiger population. Today, it has been
extended to an area of 437 sq. km. The main viewing area is still in the
core of the Park with its 32 picturesque, wooded hills. An ancient fort up
on a precipice, 800 metres high, dominates the Park.
Later,proceed on Jungle Safari of Bandhavgarh National Park by Jeep for
viewing wild life. Return to resort for Breakfast. Afternoon nature walk
through the buffer zone. Late afternoon proceed on Jungle Safari of
Bandhavgarh National Park by Jeep for viewing wild life. Dinner at resort.
Overnight stay at Nature Heritage Village Resort ( or similar ).
Day 04: Bandhavgarh National Park
Early morning and late
afternoon, game viewing in the sanctuary by jeeps.( visitors timing 06h00 to
10h00 for morning safari & 15h00 to 19h00 for evening safari ).
Afternoon nature walk through the buffer zone. Dinner & overnight stay
at Heritage Village Resort ( or similar ).
Day 05: Bandhavgarh National Park
Same as day 04.
Day 06: Bandhavgarh National Park Kanha National Park
After breakfast drive to Kanha National Park. On rrival , check in at Kanha
Jungle Lodge ( or similar )
Located in the Mandia district of
Madhya Pradesh, the Kanha National Park is a Tiger Reserve that extends over
1945 sq. km. of undulating country. Elevations range from 450 to 900 meters.
It was here at Kanha that the eminent zoologist George Schaller undertook
the first ever-scientific study
of the tiger. Another landmark at Kanha
is the preservation of the "hard ground' barasingha (cervus duvauceli
branderi) - the only surviving population of this Central Indian subspecies.
This was achieved by extending the grasslands, relocating villages and by
increasing the habitat.
Late afternoon, proceed on jungle safari
of Kanha National Park by jeep for viewing wild life. Dinner & overnight
stay at Resort.
Day
07: Kanha National Park
Morning proceed on jungle safari of
Kanha National Park by jeep for viewing wild life. Return to resort for
breakfast. Afternoon nature walk through the buffer zone. Late afternoon
proceed on jungle safari of Kanha National Park by jeep for viewing wild
life. Dinner & overnight stay at resort.
Day 08 : Kanha National Park Jabalpur Agra
Morning
proceed on jungle safari of Kanha National Park by jeep for viewing wild
life. Return to resort for breakfast. Afternoon nature walk through the
buffer zone. Evening transfer to Jabalpur railway station to connect
overnight train for Agra. Dinner on board.
Day 09: Arrive Agra Bharatpur ( 56 kms.)
Morning arrive
at Agra , continue drive to Bharatpur. ( Visit Taj Mahal can be provided on
request ) . On arrival check in at hotel Laxmi Vilasa Palace.
Afternoon visit the famous Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary which is a wonder
of the natural world and no less worth seeing than the marble mausoleum of
the Taj. Here over 350 species of birds find refuge in the 29sq kms of
shallow lakes & wood lands of the park. A third of them are migrants
many
of whom spend winter in Bharatpur before returning to their
breeding grounds as far away as Siberia and Central Asia. There are many
good paths & trails through the dense park, but a ride with your expert
rickshaw driver will be a rewarding experience as he has been trained to
recognize
the different species of birds.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel Laxmi Vilas Palace
Day 10 : Baharatpur Ranthambhore ( Sawaimadhopur )
Morning
visit Keolado Bird Sanctuary by Rikshaw. Return to hotel for breakfast .
Later transfer to Bharatpur railway station to connect train for
Sawaimadhopur. On arrival, transfer to hotel Ranthambhore Regency by jeep.
Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary - Rajasthan's most renowned
wildlife sanctuary, it is 400 sq kms of dry deciduous forest, perfect
natural habitat for tigers, and is set in the Aravalli and Vindhya hills,
dotted
with pavillions and dominated by a hilltop fort. Ranthambore was
one of the hunting preserves of the former rulers of Jaipur and because of
this the Maharajas ensured the environment was preserved and the forest and
their inhabitants well protected. It has a good population of tiger and
their prey species, and has been declared a "Project Tiger"
reserve. Wildlife includes blue bull, black buck, spotted deer or cheetal,
wild boar, a large variety of bird species and, if very lucky, the rarely
seen leopard.
This afternoon you will be escorted on a game
viewing inside the sanctuary by jeeps.

at hotel Ranthambhore Regency.
Day 11 : Ranthambhore ( Sawaimadhopur )
Early morning and late afternoon, game
viewing in the sanctuary by jeeps.
overnight stay at Hotel Ranthambhore Regency .
Day 12 : Ranthambhore Jaipur
Early morning , game viewing in the sanctuary by
jeeps. Later drive to Jaipur( 156 kms.). On arrival, check in at hotel the
trident ( or similar ) . Afternoon, tour of the "Pink City" is
spectacularly set within surrounding rugged hills, dotted with ancient
ruined fortresses. Your tour will include the imposing City Palace, still
home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the
public. Many antiques and
artefacts belonging to the ruling family are
housed here, including a collection of weaponry. You will also visit the
Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds", and the open-air Jantar Mantar
Observatory to see the vast
astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll
through the colorful bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 13 : Jaipur Delhi
After breakfast proceed to Amber Fort, an elephant ride will be provided up
to the fort.
Later drive to Delhi. On arrival , proceed to sightseeing of Delhi including
Rajghat, India Gate, President House ,Humayuns Tomb. Evening transfer
to International airport to connect flight for next destination.
